Corporation have developed a financial software solution
that reflects the Internet driven 24/7 online world giving
business users the power to access financial and business
information, anywhere and at anytime. |
The Tencia product is the result of these considerations.
It has been designed to take the best of Visual Arrow and
incorporate it into a web server based system utilising
Extensible Markup Language (XML) and a Microsoft SQL database
within Microsoft's .Net framework.
Today the ability to exchange information between various
applications, divisions and internal business units is pivotal
to the success of any business. The requirement for disparate
applications to be able to 'talk' to one another has lead to the
development of financial solutions such as Tencia that have the
ability to harness the power of web services as a means of
uniting information across various applications. Web services
can overcome compatibility issues such different operating
systems, platform and language allowing systems (that conform to
web services standards) to be linked up more easily than ever
before. In addition to this, the trend towards the need for
remote access to information from all points of the globe has
lead to the development of Tencia as a web based business system
that can be accessed over the Internet.
Some of the features:
- Fully integrated user interface. There will be no
obvious switching between applications.
- Tencia extends the Microsoft Office experience into
the Business Management application. All office programs
and Internet Explorer links can be embedded within the
Tencia user interface.
- Notes and Block text are Rich Text Fields so images,
variable fonts and colours can be used.
- Current shortcut lookups such as the "@" string
search and the "~" category searches will work as per
the Arrow Financials.
- All entries are posted to the General Ledger as the
transaction is saved and there is full drill down
available from the General Ledger Journal back to the
Source document.
- Security will be enhanced to have settings by
System, Role or User. This will operate down to the code
level. Security levels can be assigned to Menu programs,
Fields (view or alter) and Administration tasks.
- Users will be able to alter the columns displayed,
grid colours and the advanced search filters used within
all inquiry programs. These filters can be saved for
future use.
- User defaults can be setup by System, Role or User.
- Any Arrow program can be added to a list of
Favourites.
