A review of the key features of Payroll Easy

I recently set up Payroll Easy for an EBS client.  The client is happy because it’s easy to use.  They also like that it isn’t short on power and can easily process a pay run in minutes. So, following from this successful set up of Payroll Easy, I thought I’d share with you some its best features.

Payroll Easy is a flexible Payroll and Time & Attendance solution from EBS.  This cloud based system is so simple and easy to use. I’ve outlined some of the key features below:

Direct link with the ATO
ATO Cloud software authentication and authorisation (CAA) initiative is changing the way payroll clients lodge forms electronically.

This enables you to:
• Lodge tax file declarations electronically
• Lodge PAYG payment summaries

Direct Super integration
Integrated with Click Super makes processing super contributions just a few clicks away. The whole super payment process takes minutes! The system will also automatically manage the default SGC rates as they increase gradually to 12%.

Employee Self Service
* Empowers your employees to manage their data, so you don’t have to!
* Employees can manage leave, access pay slips, edit their details and enter timesheets or reimbursements.

Pre-built Awards
Payroll has many preconfigured modern awards rules. See a list of the current awards here

A recent new look calendar has been released. It has been designed to make it easier to visually manage leave requests. Employees can be grouped by their locations and colours help distinguish leave types.

Public Holidays are also integrated and can easily be loaded (for any state).

Improved Searching
Advanced searching lets you search dynamically across multiple businesses, making it simple to manage multiple payrolls.

Rostering
* Shifts can be created and assigned to employees who can receive email/SMS notifications.
* Once published, a nicely formatted roster can be printed for display in the workplace.
* Timesheets can be generated based on the rostered shifts.
* Employee can set their unavailability (if you let them).
* Award rules and a pay conditions engine (eg. Shift allowances) can assist in managing costs. As a manager you can receive budget notifications when creating shifts.

Time & Attendance
Extending on rostering, there is also a web kiosk to allow employees to clock on and off, on site, using any web enabled device.

ClockMeIn App
Besides the web kiosk, there is a new ClockMeIn iPad app, it can be used to clock on / clock off employees when they start/end their shifts. ClockMeIn is designed to be easy for both employees and managers to use and has the following features:
• Take employee photos and geo-location on clock event
• Review shift timeline to see real time staff clock activities
• Employees initiate clock events with a 4 digit pin
• Managers can quick add new employees to get them up and running quickly

Journal Service
You can setup a chart of accounts that can be assigned to all the pay categories, where a journal can be submitted directly to your ERP System. With a click of the button, a general journal can be created in Microsoft Dynamics NAV, along with any dimensions for reporting analysis.

All Payroll easy functionality is available for as little as $6.50 per employee per month.
